SEO case study for student accommodation business

Objective

In December 2013, Smart Student Accommodation commissioned us for SEO and social media services in a bid to target students searching for premium quality accommodation in London.

Approach

At the outset, we advised Smart Student that it should consider the advantage of a new website versus trying to improve and link SEO to its current one as it would require a great deal of focused work to improve the user-experience as well as its content and technology. The client agreed and so working in liaison with the website designer and development company, we instigated a range of optimisation services and content advice that was integrated into the new build.

Results

Shortly after launching, the new Smart Student website experienced a noticeable upsurge in search visibility, page visits and high traffic conversion rates. Some 18 months on and students are now engaging with the website via social media and online reviews which is in turn helping promote the brand to potential new students seeking accommodation.
